Charlie Sheen CONFIRMS he is HIV positive
In an interview today with Matt Lauer, Charlie Sheen revealed he is HIV positive
'I'm here to admit that I am in fact HIV positive,' said Sheen
Sheen discussed that he found out he had the virus 'roughly four years ago.
He said that 'It started with what I thought was a series of crushing headaches,' said Sheen of his first symptoms.
'I thought I had a brain tumor. I thought it was over.'
Sheen said that he made aware people that he trusted about his status over the past few years, but also bought the silence of others.
He also said it was 'impossible' that he had transmitted the virus to anyone else.
'I always led with condoms and honesty when it came to my condition,' said Sheen.
His doctor, Robert Huizenga, said he had been working with Sheen for five or six years and that the virus is now 'undetectable' in his blood.
