I had the most amazing time in Istanbul. I stayed for only 3 days and it was an incredible 3 days, exploring and enjoying the sights and sounds of the city. The people are friendly and very helpful. I walked almost everywhere near the place I was staying in Beyoglu. The food there is amazing and I enjoyed every single meal I had.
One thing that surprised me about the city is its typography. It was quite hilly! I enjoyed the walk up and down the hills and the walk provided some much-needed exercise.
There are so many places to see in Istanbul. I went to the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia Museum, took the ferry to the Asian side of the city and went to the Grand Bazaar!
I ended my trip on a high by having the much talked about Hamam (Turkish bath)! My first treat to myself in a long while! The Hamam was one of the highlights of my trip. I felt pampered!
I would definitely want to visit again!
Here are some of the pictures I took.
