Botswana President to step down at the end of his term in April 2018.

President Ian Khama announced that he will step down as the president of his country, Botswana, in April 2018. He made this statement during a State of the Nation address.  He said that he would leave the country in the hands of his vice president, Mokgweetsi Masisi.



The president has been in power since 2008.
