Attempting crochet braid

I have been watching YouTube videos of do it yourself hair styles. One particular tutorial took my interest. The crochet braids!! I watched these talented girls effortlessly make their hair. I watched and said to myself, of course I can do this myself. I thought to myself that it looks easy enough. So, I sat down to attempt it. I put my hair in plates which was easy enough. I brought out my Marley braids extension, cut it and fetched my Bobby pin as I didn't have a crochet. That was were my frustrations started. I just couldn't get the hang of using the Bobby pin. It was fiddly and frustratingly tiresome and annoying. I watched the videos again, attempted crocheting my hair and managed to do a small section. It was not looking as clean as I wanted. I just had to give up after trying unsuccessfully to crochet my braids. I really commend these talented girls that make their own hair. Watching their YouTube videos make it look so easy. I just have to book an appointment with a hair dresser as I don't have the patience or time to braid my hair.
