Nigeria's NNPC 'failed to pay' $16bn in oil revenues

The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), which is a Nigerian state-owned oil company, provided no explanation for the missing funds.

Under the leadership of former President Goodluck Jonathan, a separate audit was carried out by global accountancy firm PwC. They found that the NNPC had failed to pay the government $1.48bn between January 2012 and July 2013.

Just imagine how many development projects and initiatives this amount of money can cover. Just wondering where the money is!!!
